Hi! I’m Felix Farley

I am an illustrator, animator, and creative artist born in Arizona and based in New York City. Art is my career, hobby, and passion. With a degree in 2D animation, I work in motion graphics and video editing for a wide range of clients. I also work in illustration and have a commitment to helping authors bring their ideas to life visually. Whether in work for my clients or personal projects, I strive to create exciting and entertaining new characters and worlds of whimsy.

I am always open to new work opportunities and building community! Feel free to reach out for any questions, commissions, or to just say hi at the email below!

Motion

I graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in 2D animation and I now work with all forms of moving visual content across animation, motion design, and video editing. During my time at Pratt, I was a motion graphics intern at SARANKCO. Creative Studio where I worked to create animations for their onboarding material and several of their clients including American Express, Resy, and Western Alliance Bank. My thesis film It’s Perfect was selected for Pratt’s Best of Show and was an honorable mention in the East Village New York Film Festival. After graduation I began video editing for intuitive painter Liv Tyler, helping them create content for Youtube and social media.  I am currently working with SARANKCO. again as a freelancer where I  continue to create animated assets for their clients.

Illustration

My time at Pratt led me to a passion for book illustration. I have completed illustrations to accompany the short stories in both The Saga of Ilkay and The Sigil Five by Natalie Wright, and I am always looking to connect with more authors. I have a love of children’s illustration and currently work as a StoryWalk installer at the Brooklyn Public library bringing books to parks to help children learn to read. In my free time I am working on my own children’s book, Run Run Roadrunner and other creative projects aimed at helping kids learn to love reading and art. I am dedicated to helping authors bring their ideas to life visually for both children and adult audiences.

Want more art?

When I’m not working on client projects, I can often be found in my home studio experimenting with different mediums and techniques. During my time at art school I was able to experiment with both relief and intaglio printing and have begun diving into oil painting. I have recently begun my own art business, Thorns and Fruit, focused on sharing my love of my home town in the Sonoran Desert through art.
